Career Breaks. Sabbaticals.
Early Retirement.

You know the cliche, “Living my best life?” That’s truly me.

During my travels, I met the most incredible people. Some were on a similar journey, traveling the world and never looking back. Others, though, would say, “I wish I could do that,” when I told them about my adventures.

It brought me back to when I was the one watching other people travel the globe, come home for a few months and then hit the road again.  I remember saying “I wish I could do that.”

And, here I was, doing it.

About Roshida, the Career Break Expert…

The day the company I worked for went out of business – like, the kind of going out of business where they lose all their money and go down in flames – I realized it was now or never.

I grabbed that ‘fuck you’ money I’d been saving since 2009 when I was laid off with two weeks’ notice and no severance (lesson learned!) and bought a ticket to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

I was living my life on my terms. No counting vacation hours. No time off request submitted to a domineering and bitter boss.

During my travels, I met the most incredible people. Some were on a similar journey, traveling the world and never looking back. Others, though, would say, “I wish I could do that,” when I told them about my adventures.

Take action.

Everyone should know the exhilarating feeling of freedom and the empowerment of designing your own life.

You might be thinking…

How would you leave your everyday life? What are you supposed do about your responsibilities? How can you afford it? How do you explain this to your mom when you’re pushing 40 and all she wants from you are grand-babies? (that one might be specific to me 😉)  I’ll walk you through it all and tailor your “adult gap year” to your unique situation.

I want you to know this is possible.  If you’re tired of the status quo, you CAN live the life you’ve always wanted.

Let’s go from saying “I wish I could do that,” to, “I’m actually doing it and it feels damn good!”

I believe in you.

Carly T. gained clarity in 60 minutes

"I didn't know I had the option to consider a career break when I scheduled a call with Roshida. However, in that one coaching call, she was able to take my verbal ramblings and jumbled thoughts and help me get some structure to plan out the steps I would need to plan my career break. Even though our call was only an hour, I had gotten so much clarity on where I could go and a much needed boost in confidence in what I was capable of doing, even before I got off the phone. One of the best coaching experiences I have ever had. :)"
