Now that you have the list - let's talk about how to get them into your hands (if you're not an Amazon shopper).

• It's probably been a while for most of us, but you could go look for books at your local library.

• If the idea of going outside just doesn't do it for you, Libby and Hoopla are two ways to borrow e-books or audiobooks from your local library from the comfort of your couch.

If you're not familiar with them, learn how to use them here:

• There's always Audible for audiobooks (also from Amazon). You can even gift an Audible account to the reader in your life.

• If you like the feeling of walking into a bookstore and browsing for what catches your eye, check out this list of ​Black-owned bookstores​ to support. This list is from 2020, so please confirm that the store is still in business before you cross town to find it 😉.

• And of course, there is an ​online option​ if you want to shop independently-owned bookstores from bed. I really like this option, because if you choose your bookstore at the top, you can decide which independently-owned bookstore gets the profit from your purchase. And if you can't choose, all those stores share the profits.
